The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is an ICC-sanctioned professional T20 cricket league, created to build a new era for cricket in Europe. ETPL is a joint venture between Cricket Ireland and Rules X, in partnership with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) and Cricket Scotland. Bringing together the expertise of established European cricket boards, Rules Sports Tech and a team with deep experience across sport, media, entertainment, technology and business, ETPL has been created with one clear ambition: To build a world-class cricket league with a distinctly European identity.

ETPL is built on a unique partnership between Cricket Ireland and Rules Sports Tech, with the support and participation of KNCB and Cricket Scotland. The partnership combines the sporting governance and cricketing infrastructure of Europe's established cricket boards with Rules expertise in building sports properties, technology, commercial platforms and fan experiences. Together, the partners are creating a league designed to give European cricket a bigger stage, connect the continent's talent with the world's best players and bring a new generation of fans closer to the game.
BRIAN MACNEICE, CHAIR, CRICKET IRELAND | CHAIR, ETPL BOARD
Brian MacNeice brings extensive experience in leadership, governance and business to the ETPL project. As Chair of Cricket Ireland, he has played an important role in the development and continued professionalisation of Irish cricket and brings a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the sport across Europe. Brian currently serves as Chair of the ETPL Board, providing leadership and governance as the league establishes itself as a major new professional sporting property. His involvement reflects the league's commitment to strong governance, sporting integrity and long-term development.
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, CO-FOUNDER, ETPL | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Actor. Sports Entrepreneur. Co-Founder. Abhishek Bachchan brings a unique combination of entertainment, sport and entrepreneurial experience to ETPL. A passionate sports entrepreneur and investor, he has been involved in building and supporting sporting properties across multiple disciplines. As a co-founder of ETPL, Abhishek brings a global entertainment perspective and a deep understanding of the power of sport to build communities, create experiences and connect with audiences far beyond the field of play.
SAURAV BANERJEE, CO-FOUNDER, ETPL | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Saurav Banerjee brings over two decades of leadership experience across venture capital, media, finance and sports entrepreneurship. He is recognised for his expertise in M&A, business strategy, stakeholder engagement, financial restructuring and change management. He is Co-Owner of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), an ICC-approved franchise cricket league developed in partnership with the cricket boards of Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands. The league aims to establish Europe as a significant new cricket market by bringing together international talent, world-class infrastructure and a commercially driven format. Saurav also serves as Partner, Special Projects at OneAlphaNorth Capital, collaborating with U.S. partners and leading Indian venture capital firms to identify and support transformative startups across sectors. Previously, he was a Partner at Kalaari Capital, where he helped shape business strategy, lead M&A initiatives and align stakeholders. As CEO and CFO of the NDTV Group, he oversaw business transformation and strategic growth at one of India’s leading media companies. He has served on the boards of several media and technology companies and advised businesses on launching ventures, realigning operations and securing seed, equity and debt financing. Saurav is a Chartered Accountant trained at PwC’s Global Capital Markets Group and an alumnus of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. A former Board Member of Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun, he continues to support entrepreneurial, leadership and educational initiatives.
PRIYANKA KAUL, CO-FOUNDER, ETPL | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Priyanka Kaul is a media entrepreneur and business leader with over 25 years of experience across media, marketing, events and sport. A pioneer of purpose-led media campaigns in India, she conceptualised and led several influential social-impact initiatives, including Save Our Tigers, Greenathon, Support My School, Banega Swachh India, Mission Paani and Our Girls, Our Pride. Her work demonstrated the power of media to engage audiences and drive meaningful social change. Her contributions have earned her numerous national and international honours, including the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association Award for public-service broadcasting and social-impact communication. A long-time advocate of grassroots sport, Priyanka led the launch of the Toyota University Cricket Championship in 2013, one of India’s earliest large-scale university cricket initiatives. She is currently Co-Founder of Rules Sportstech, established with sports entrepreneur and actor Abhishek Bachchan, and Co-Founder of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). Her previous leadership roles include CEO of Forbes India, President of Marketing and Special Projects at Network18, and Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer and President of Special Projects at NDTV. Priyanka graduated from Sophia College, Mumbai University, and completed an Advanced Management programme at Harvard Business School. She is passionate about using sport to strengthen global connections and elevate India’s presence on the world stage.
DHIRAJ MALHOTRA, CO-FOUNDER, ETPL | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Dhiraj Malhotra is a sports administrator and cricket executive with over 24 years of experience building and running some of the sport’s biggest properties. He held senior roles at the International Cricket Council (ICC), International Management Group (IMG) and Wasserman Media Group (WMG), working on major global events including the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2007. In 2008, he was appointed the Indian Premier League’s first Tournament Director, helping establish the league’s cricket operations from scratch. He later served as Tournament Director for the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. As CEO of Delhi Capitals from 2019 to 2021, he led the franchise through a period that included its 2020 IPL final appearance and subsequently served as General Manager of Game Development at the BCCI. He has also held leadership positions in the Indian Super League and Pro Kabaddi League and advised the Hockey India League. He is currently CEO of Washington Freedom, a Major League Cricket franchise in the United States, and Co-Founder of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL), alongside Abhishek Bachchan, Saurav Banerjee and Priyanka Kaul.
SAI NARAYAN SUBRAMANIAN, CO-FOUNDER & INVESTOR, ETPL (AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GREAT CORP PTE)
In 2026, Sai Subramanian joined the core ETPL team as a co-founder and investor, bringing extensive experience across social impact , strategy, business development and investment management. As Co-Founder of ETPL , Sai, together with the founders of The Great Corp, brings strategic, commercial and investment expertise to ETPL. Their involvement strengthens ETPL’s ambition to develop a professionally run, commercially sustainable pan European sports property with the potential to grow well beyond its inaugural season.
WARREN DEUTROM, CHAIR, RULES X | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Warren Duedrom serves as Chair of Rules Global, and as a Board Director of ETPL. With experience across business, investment and strategic development, Wareen brings an entrepreneurial and long-term perspective to the development of RuLES and its portfolio of sports properties. His role is focused on supporting the strategic direction, governance and growth of the organisation as it builds new sporting IP for global audiences.
ANDREW MAY, CFO, CRICKET IRELAND | DIRECTOR, ETPL
Andrew May brings significant financial, commercial and strategic experience to ETPL through his role as Chief Financial Officer of Cricket Ireland and as a Board Director of ETPL. With a background spanning finance, business management and strategic development, Andrew brings a disciplined approach to building the financial and operational foundations of a new professional sports property. His role within ETPL reflects the importance of combining sporting ambition with strong financial governance and sustainable long-term growth.
