The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is a privately-owned franchise tournament developed in partnership with three ICC member nations - Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands. The ICC-sanctioned league's formation is being driven by a working group comprising representatives from the participating cricket boards and strategic partner Rules Sport Tech.
At the forefront of this initiative is a high-profile leadership team, led by sports entrepreneur and actor Abhishek Bachchan, alongside the founders of Rules Sport Tech. A passionate sports enthusiast and a seasoned team owner across multiple sporting leagues, Abhishek brings extensive experience in building successful franchises, enhancing fan engagement, and driving brand growth. His deep understanding of the sports industry and commitment to fostering competitive excellence will be instrumental in expanding cricket's footprint in Europe and shaping the ETPL into a world-class tournament.
