The Amsterdam Flames have emerged from the ETPL Draft with one of the tournament's most balanced squads, built around versatility, international pedigree and proven performers. Their six-player haul features four all-rounders, one frontline fast bowler and one specialist opening batter, providing quality in every department.

Four Dutch internationals—Kyle Klein, Tim Pringle, Aryan Dutt and Max O'Dowd—are joined by Irish internationals Curtis Campher and Jordan Neill, giving the Flames a core of players with experience in ICC World Cups, T20 World Cups and major international tournaments. Rather than relying on specialists alone, Amsterdam has prioritised cricketers capable of influencing matches in multiple ways, creating a squad designed to adapt to any situation.

Here are Amsterdam Flames’ scintillating six:

    Curtis Campher (Ireland)

The 27 year old headlines the Flames' draft selections as one of Ireland's premier all-rounders. The 26-year-old has built a reputation as a dependable middle-order batter and a wicket-taking seam bowler, capable of changing matches with either skill. Campher famously became the first male cricketer to take a double hat-trick (four wickets in four consecutive deliveries) in a T20 World Cup match (vs Ireland – took the wickets of Colin Ackermann, Ryan ten Doeschate, Scott Edwards, Roelof van der Merwe ), a remarkable feat that underlines his ability to thrive under pressure. His performances in ICC tournaments have consistently showcased his composure against top-quality opposition, while his leadership qualities add another dimension to the squad. As a genuine three-dimensional cricketer, Campher, provides Amsterdam with experience, balance and match-winning ability.

    Kyle Klein (The Netherlands)

Leading the pace attack is Kyle Klein, one of the Netherlands' brightest fast-bowling prospects. Having established himself in the Dutch national side through his aggressive bowling and ability to generate bounce, the 25-year-old has become a dependable wicket-taking option with both the new ball and at the death. His attacking approach makes him perfectly suited to the T20 format, where early breakthroughs can define the outcome of a match. At just 23 years of age, Klein combines youthful energy with valuable international experience, giving the Flames a genuine strike bowler capable of unsettling any batting line-up.

    Tim Pringle (The Netherlands)

23-year-old Tim Pringle adds balance through his accurate left-arm spin and dependable lower-order batting. A regular feature in the Netherlands' white-ball setup, the bespectacled Pringle has earned a reputation for controlling the middle overs with disciplined lines and intelligent variations. His ability to slow the scoring rate allows captains to build pressure, while his batting provides valuable depth lower down the order. In a format where every over carries immense importance, Pringle, who was born in The Hague, makes sure consistency and tactical awareness make him an invaluable member of Amsterdam's bowling unit.

    Aryan Dutt (The Netherlands)

Standing at over 6 feet tall, Aryan Dutt has quietly established himself as one of Associate cricket's finest off-spinners. Despite his young age, he already possesses significant international experience and has delivered impressive performances against Full Member nations in ICC events. The 23-year-old’s control, subtle variations and ability to outthink batters make him a dependable wicket-taking option, particularly during the middle overs. Alongside Tim Pringle, Dutt forms what could become one of the strongest spin partnerships in the ETPL, giving Amsterdam two solid options to dictate the tempo of an innings.

    Jordan Neill (Irealnd)

He may be the youngest and least experienced member of Amsterdam’s draft class, but the 20-year-old batter brings exciting all-round potential, thanks to his right-arm medium fast bowling prowess. The Irishman offers valuable overs with the ball, aggressive lower-order batting and exceptional athleticism in the field. Modern T20 cricket rewards players who can contribute across multiple disciplines, and Neill fits that profile perfectly. His versatility provides Amsterdam with greater flexibility in team combinations while adding another energetic presence capable of making an impact in pressure situations.

    Max O'Dowd (The Netherlands)

One of the most accomplished opening batters in Associate cricket, 32-year-old Max O’Dowd is a cornerstone of the Netherlands' batting line-up. O'Dowd has produced memorable performances against some of the world's leading bowling attacks, including several standout innings in ICC tournaments. His calm approach at the crease, combined with his ability to rotate strike and accelerate when required, provides the stability every successful T20 side needs. While the squad boasts several explosive batters, O'Dowd's reliability at the top allows the middle order to play with greater freedom. And he is a more than handy right-arm off-break bowler too.

On paper, the Amsterdam Flames have assembled a squad capable of dominating season one of the ETPL. Their blend of experienced internationals, dynamic all-rounders and specialists in key roles provides the balance and flexibility needed to succeed in the shortest format. With proven performers who have delivered on the world stage, Amsterdam possesses the quality to adapt to different conditions and opponents throughout the tournament. If their experienced core fires and the squad manages to settle-in quickly, the Flames have every reason to believe they can mount a serious challenge for the ETPL title and establish themselves as one of the early standout teams of the league.
