A master of the shorter formats, Andrew Tye has built a reputation around one of T20 cricket's most difficult skills – taking wickets at the death. The Australian right-armer combines pinpoint yorkers with an ever-expanding collection of pace variations, most notably his deceptive knuckle ball, making him particularly difficult to line up when batters are looking to attack. His late emergence into professional cricket makes his rise all the more remarkable, having made his List A debut for Western Australia at 26 before quickly becoming one of the Perth Scorchers' most effective weapons.

Tye's credentials on the global T20 circuit were underlined in the 2017 IPL, when he announced himself with 5/17 and a hat-trick on debut for Gujarat Lions. A year later, he claimed 24 wickets to win the IPL Purple Cap, while also finishing 2018 as the leading wicket-taker in T20Is with Australia, collecting 31 wickets. His best T20I figures of 4/23 came against New Zealand, further highlighting his ability to strike when the pressure is at its highest.

With extensive experience across franchise cricket and Australia's Big Bash League, Tye brings Edinburgh Castle Rockers a proven match-winner who can be trusted with the most demanding overs of an innings. His variations, death-bowling expertise and ability to break partnerships could make him one of the Rockers' most potent weapons in the inaugural ETPL season.
