FINLAY MCCREATH

An accomplished batter with a strong record in Scotland's domestic game, Finlay McCreath has earned his opportunity on the international stage through a series of impressive performances at the top of the order. The right-hander combines a solid technique with the ability to accelerate when required, making him a versatile option in the shorter formats. His performances for Scotland A, including a century against Zimbabwe A, helped underline his credentials before his senior international breakthrough.

McCreath carried that form into the senior set-up, making his ODI debut against the UAE in May 2025 before registering his maiden international half-century against Nepal. Four days later, he produced his defining ODI performance, top-scoring with 81 against the Netherlands at Forthill. He then made an instant impact in T20Is, scoring 40 off 28 balls on debut against the Netherlands and earning Player of the Match honours.

For Edinburgh Castle Rockers, McCreath brings a combination of composure, adaptability and recent international form. His ability to build an innings while shifting gears when required gives the Rockers another dependable batting option, while his experience through Scotland's development pathway provides a strong foundation for him to make an impact in the inaugural ETPL season.
