GLENN MAXWELL

Glenn Maxwell is one of the most electric and unpredictable cricketers the T20 format has ever produced, and arrives as captain of the Belfast Wolves carrying more records, more match-winning moments and more sheer spectacle than almost any all-rounder in the game's history. Born on 14 October 1988 in Kew, Victoria, the right-handed batter and right-arm off-spinner has been a cornerstone of Australian white-ball cricket for over thirteen years.

Maxwell made his T20 international debut in September 2012 and has since played 130 T20I matches, scoring 2,897 runs at an average of 29 with 150 sixes -- including four T20I centuries, a tally equalled only by Rohit Sharma among men's batters at the time he reached it. His fastest T20I century came off 47 balls, a record he shares as the quickest ever by an Australian. Maxwell quickly became known as "The Big Show," a nickname reflecting his talent for performing in high-stakes situations and shining during clutch moments. He holds the remarkable distinction of being the only cricketer to score a century in his 100th T20I, doing so against India.

He is also the only male player in history to score three T20I centuries while chasing. In April 2026, he became just the third Australian to pass 11,000 runs across all T20 cricket combined, reaching the milestone in his 469th innings.

In Australia's domestic T20 competition with a Melbourne-based franchise, Maxwell made history in January 2022 as the first batter ever to score 150 or more runs in a single innings in the competition's history. He was part of Australia's 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup winning squad and the 2015 and 2023 ODI World Cup winning sides, retiring from the 50-over format in June 2025 to focus entirely on T20 cricket and preparation for the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. On the franchise circuit, he has represented teams across India's domestic T20 league across multiple franchises totalling over a decade of appearances, as well as franchises in England's domestic T20 competition, the United States T20 league and the Pakistan domestic T20 league.
