MARK WATT

A bowler who has made an art of unsettling batters with pace rather than flight, Mark Watt has become one of Scotland's most recognisable white-ball cricketers. The Edinburgh-born left-arm orthodox spinner is known for firing the ball in flat and fast, denying batters room to free their arms and forcing them to manufacture scoring opportunities. His effectiveness in the middle overs has made him a mainstay of Scotland's limited-overs attack, while his experience also includes county cricket with Derbyshire and Lancashire.

Watt's international career has been built around consistency and big-game contributions. He played a key role in Scotland's famous ODI victory over England in 2018, while his best T20I figures of 5/27 came against the Netherlands. More recently, he has continued to be a dependable option for Scotland, including returning 4/12 against the Netherlands in 2024.
