MAXWELL O'DOWD

A dependable presence at the top of the Netherlands' batting order, Max O'Dowd has been one of the country's leading run-scorers across white-ball cricket for almost a decade. Born in Auckland and raised in New Zealand before choosing to represent the Netherlands, the right-hander has developed into an experienced international opener whose ability to build an innings while maintaining a positive tempo makes him a key part of the Dutch batting line-up.

O'Dowd has consistently shown an ability to produce against strong opposition, with his most recent standout ODI performance coming against Scotland in June 2025, when he struck an unbeaten 158 – the highest individual ODI score by a Netherlands batter. He has also been a prolific performer in T20Is, including a 66 against Oman in November 2024 that helped the Netherlands seal the series.

With extensive international experience and a proven record at the top of the order, O'Dowd gives Amsterdam Flames a batter capable of setting the tone from the opening over. His familiarity with Dutch conditions, combined with his experience of facing international attacks around the world, could make him one of the side's most important assets in the inaugural ETPL season.
