Michael Bracewell brings the full all-rounder package to the Amsterdam Flames with a blend of clean ball striking and tactical off-spin. Bracewell was born on 14 February 1991 in Masterton, New Zealand and comes from one of the country’s most famous cricketing families, with father Mark, uncles Brendon and John and cousin Doug all playing for New Zealand at the highest level.

Despite a prolific domestic career, Bracewell did not make his international debut until he was 31. He soon caught up, making his mark with a stunning unbeaten 127 against Ireland in just his sixth ODI before becoming a regular fixture in New Zealand’s white-ball sides.

The 35 year old has proved to be a real match-winner in T20 cricket. It was in the Super Smash where he really caught everyone’s attention with a brilliant 141 off just 65 balls, rescuing Wellington from 43 for 5. That remains one of the greatest knocks in the competition. He also made an instant impression on the international stage, securing a hat-trick in just his second T20I appearance.

His all-round value has made him a highly sought-after player in franchise cricket, including a stint with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. He combines clean ball-striking with wicket-taking off-spin skills and provides balance, power and versatility to any team.
