Henriques is a skilled seam-bowling all-rounder who can anchor an innings or accelerate when needed. He has spent more than ten years becoming one of Australia's most regarded players in Twenty20 cricket.

Henriques, who was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal and moved to Australia, advanced quickly through the New South Wales route, captaining Australia's Under-19 team before representing his nation in all three international formats.

Henriques has become synonymous with the Sydney Sixers, captaining the side to multiple Big Bash League titles and becoming the competition's most-capped captain in history. As of 2026, he has featured in over 150 BBL matches, scoring more than 3,300 runs at a strike rate approaching 130, including 17 half-centuries, while consistently contributing with the ball when required. Across his overall T20 career, he has amassed well over 5,500 runs and more than 100 wickets, underlining his value as a complete all-rounder.
