RUSHIL UGARKAR

A fast-rising name in American cricket, Rushil Ugarkar has taken an unconventional route to the international stage. Born in St. Louis and introduced to cricket while attending school in Bengaluru, the 23-year-old right-arm fast-medium bowler returned to the United States after the COVID-19 pandemic and began his rise through Minor League Cricket before earning a place with MI New York in Major League Cricket.

Ugarkar's emergence at international level has been swift. He made his ODI debut against Nepal in October 2025 and made an immediate impression, taking 1/38 on debut before producing a career-best 5/22 against the UAE just days later. He has since established himself as a genuine wicket-taking option for the USA, claiming 12 wickets in his first six ODIs at an average of 21.00.

Still in the early stages of his career, Ugarkar brings Edinburgh Castle Rockers a bowler with genuine pace and plenty of upside. His ability to attack the stumps and generate breakthroughs, coupled with his growing experience in Major League Cricket, gives the Rockers an exciting young seam option who could develop into one of the tournament's standout performers.
