SANJAY KRISHNAMURTHI

A product of the rapidly developing American cricket system, Sanjay Krishnamurthi has already made an impact on the international stage despite being only 23. The right-handed batter and left-arm orthodox spinner made his ODI debut in 2021 and has since grown into a genuine all-round option for the USA, combining attacking strokeplay with a useful bowling skill-set.

Krishnamurthi's T20 career has taken him well beyond international cricket. He has featured for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket, as well as Dubai Capitals, MI Emirates and Janakpur Bolts across franchise competitions. His 2025 MLC campaign produced 253 runs at a strike rate of 154.27, while he also struck 104* in the USPL in 2024. More recently, he made a major impression at the 2026 T20 World Cup, scoring 37 against India before smashing an unbeaten 68 from just 33 balls against Namibia at a strike rate of 206.06.

There is plenty of dynamism to Krishnamurthi's game. His ability to attack spin and clear the boundary makes him a dangerous middle-order batter, while his left-arm orthodox bowling offers a useful change of angle when required. Still just 23, his combination of international exposure, franchise experience and multi-disciplinary skill-set makes him one of the more intriguing young players entering the ETPL.
