TIM PRINGLE

Born in The Hague but shaped by a cricketing journey that has taken him through New Zealand's development system and back to his country of birth, Tim Pringle offers a distinctive profile within the Dutch set-up. The 23-year-old left-arm orthodox spinner represented New Zealand at Under-19 level before switching his international allegiance to the Netherlands in 2022, making his ODI debut against England before stepping onto the T20I stage just weeks later.

Pringle has steadily grown into a reliable middle-overs option, using his accuracy and variations to keep batters under pressure. His standout T20I performance came against Nepal in 2024, when he claimed 3/20, his best figures in the format. His value was also recognised when he was selected in the Netherlands' squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, replacing the experienced Roelof van der Merwe as one of the side's younger spin options.

With experience of cricket in both New Zealand and the Netherlands, Pringle brings an interesting blend of adaptability and familiarity to the ETPL. A capable lower-order batter alongside his bowling, he can provide control through the middle overs while offering another left-arm option to Amsterdam's attack. His understanding of Dutch cricket and continued development could make him an important part of the Flames' plans in the inaugural ETPL season.
