TIM TECTOR

A naturally aggressive right-hand batter who has made a name for himself through Ireland's domestic T20 circuit, Tim Tector is one of the country's most exciting young batting prospects. The 23-year-old was Ireland Under-19 captain at the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup and has since developed into a prolific performer for Leinster Lightning, combining clean ball-striking with an ability to score at a rapid tempo. His domestic T20 record includes more than 1,300 runs and a century, underlining his potential as a top-order match-winner.

Tector's performances in the 2025 Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy provided a major statement of his ability, as he finished the competition as the leading run-scorer with 507 runs. He also produced his maiden T20 century during that campaign, while his international breakthrough followed with a T20I debut against Zimbabwe in February 2025. His best international score so far is a 38 off 25 balls against Bangladesh, part of a series in which he struck at more than 160.

For Belfast Wolves, Tector offers a young, fearless batting option with considerable upside. His ability to attack from the top order and accelerate the scoring rate makes him well suited to T20 cricket, while his strong record in Ireland's domestic game gives him the confidence and experience to make an impact on the ETPL stage.
