Yuvraj Samra has emerged as one of the most exciting young batters in Associate cricket. Armed with elegant strokeplay and a fearless approach, the Canadian left-hander has demonstrated that he can equally build an innings or take the attack to world-class bowling line-ups. Born September 29, 2006 in Brampton, Ontario, Samra is still in his teens, but he’s developed into one of Canada’s brightest prospects.

Samra has had a rapid rise on the international stage since his debut in T20Is in 2025. As of June 2026, he has amassed 586 runs from 20 T20 internationals with an average of 36.62 and a strike rate of 159.67, showing his consistency and quick scoring ability.

He got his big break at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup where he delivered a brilliant 110 off just 65 balls against New Zealand. The innings made him the youngest player to get a hundred at the Men’s T20 World Cup and the first batter from an Associate nation to do so, earning him worldwide recognition.

Samra’s talent has also been on display in the franchise circuit, having represented the Vancouver Knights, Michigan Cricket Stars, Chicago Kingsmen and Silicon Valley Strikers in some of North America’s top T20 competitions. Those experiences have accelerated his development while also exposing him to some of the biggest names in the game.

Samra is cool under pressure and naturally aggressive, with a temperament and shot-making ability to thrive in the shortest format. He is regarded as one of the most promising young batsmen in world cricket and an exciting signing for the Amsterdam Flames, as his career continues to develop.
